New York Rangers

New York has a rich tradition of hockey, and the New York Rangers are their darlings. Watching the team skate in those home New York Rangers jerseys is a thrill on ice.

The Rangers were formed in 1926 and New York Rangers apparel and New York Rangers merchandise has been flying off the shelves ever since. Is it because of their red, white, and blue colors or the fact that after the Rangers won the Stanley Cup in 1994 it became the “it” thing to root for the Rangers.

Every winter, Madison Square Garden is packed with fans wearing New York Rangers jackets and New York Rangers sweatshirts. When current stars like Sean Avery and Ryan Callahan are at the top of their game the Rangers can skate with anyone in the league.

The Rangers have a national following. At any arena the Rangers play at on the road you will see tons of New York Rangers hats and New York Rangers t-shirts. Fans remember the greats, Phil Esposito, Mark Messier, and Brain Leetch. The Great One, Wayne Gretzky even played almost four seasons for the Rangers. To me the Rangers are the one New York based team I can actually root for.
