Pittsburgh Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers is one of the oldest teams in NFL history. They were founded by Joseph Rooney in 1933 and later taken over by his son Art. Seventy-six years of football and six Superbowl wins has made Pittsburgh Steelers merchandise a hot commodity. It is still possible to get Pittsburgh Steelers apparel that honors the great teams of the 1970s known as the “team of the decade” that was famous for their feared Steel Curtain defense. You may even be able find a Pittsburgh Steelers sweatshirt or Pittsburgh Steelers jackets with that famous name on it.

Pittsburgh Steelers jerseys baring the number 12 of their hall of fame quarterback Terry Bradshaw can still be seen around the city of Pittsburgh. One of the most memorable moments in Steelers history is fondly known as the “immaculate reception”. Franco Harris snagged a pass that was deflected when the intended receiver and the defender collided and ran it in for the game-winning touchdown.

Since the 70s the Steelers have had only three coaches and are the only team to have won back to back Superbowls two times. Pittsburgh Steelers t-shirts were made after their fifth Superbowl win that said “one for the thumb”. Today, Pittsburgh Steelers hats are proudly worn in the backwards style of Ben Roethlisberger, the youngest quarterback to ever win a Superbowl.
