There was one color swarming the streets of New York this playoff season. It was the trademark green from the New York Jets Apparel. Although the team usually plays second fiddle to the Giants, this year you could see New York Jets hats riding the subway and New Jets sweatshirts walking down Broadway.

A team team whose playoffs hopes were declared all but dead, somehow scrapped their way in and made it all the AFC Championship game. The team gathered behind new head coach, Rex Ryan in his signature New York Jets jacket. Eager fans followed them to all their road playoff games. There was no shortage of New York Jets jackets in Cincinnati or New York Jets t-shirts in San Diego as the team pulled off upsets in both towns.

Although their Cinderella season eventually had to end, the team has a lot to look forward to. Rookies like Mark Sanchez and Shawn Greene proved they have what it takes to make it in this league. There’s no doubt that those two will be selling some New York Jets jerseys in the next few years.

With a new swagger injected into this franchise, the notorious green of New York Jets merchandise will be a fixture in the big apple and across the country for a long time to come.
