Texas Longhorns
The Texas Longhorns, from the University of Texas at Austin, are one of the best-known college franchises. The distinctive longhorn logo and burnt orange coloring found on Texas Longhorns apparel and other Texas Longhorns merchandise will be immediately recognized by most people with even a passing interest in college sports.
Lead by head coach Mack Brown, the highest-paid coach in the world of college football, the Longhorns have proved to be a major force in the BCS. In the 2009 season, Texas was undefeated during regular season play, eventually going on to face Alabama in the championship game. The injury of star player Colt McCoy near the beginning of the game contributed to their loss of the championship. McCoy has since recovered and is likely to be the latest in a long history of Longhorns players to move on to a successful career in Pro Football.
With such a great record to boast of, nobody should be ashamed to wear the burnt orange found on Texas Longhorns jerseys, Texas Longhorns hats, or Texas Longhorns t-shirts. Texas fans are so proud of their team they would even be willing to wear Texas Longhorns sweatshirts or Texas Longhorns jackets in the middle of a hot Texas summer, if need be.
