Oklahoma State Cowboys

The Oklahoma State Cowboys are a college athletic team which competes in the Big 12 conference.  Overall Oklahoma State University has 18 varsity teams.  The Cowboys are one of the country’s most successful athletic programs.  The schools has won 49 national team championships, with 34 in wrestling, 10 in golf, 2 in basketball, 1 in baseball, and 2 in cross country.

Due to their national success, Oklahoma State Cowboys merchandise has sold quite well.  The most popular form of merchandise is football jerseys.  The best selling Oklahoma State Cowboys jerseys are replicas of those worn by Barry Sanders and Thurman Thomas, who are former players that are now in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

While the school has 18 varsity teams, the most popular sport is football.  While at home football games, which are played at Boone Pickens Stadium, almost all fans wear Oklahoma State Cowboys apparel.  During the hot summer games, the most popular pieces of apparel are Oklahoma State Cowboys t-shirts and Oklahoma State Cowboys hats, which help keep fans cool and protected from the sun.  During the winter months, many students wear Oklahoma State Cowboys sweatshirts and Oklahoma State Cowboys jackets while walking around campus or attending class.
