The State of Florida has many large universities, but the fan following claimed by the University of Miami is unique. Miami Hurricanes merchandise is popular not only in South Florida, but all over the country. The color scheme of green, orange,and white along with the school mascot, Sebastian the Ibis leaves no doubt to the question, who are you rooting for?

Miami Hurricanes apparel really became popular with the success of the football program under Howard Schnellenberger in the early 80′s. Players like Jim Kelly, Vinny Testaverde, and Bernie Kosar all wore Miami Hurricanes jerseys at the quarterback position.

The University of Miami became part of the American culture. Musicians made wearing Miami Hurricanes hats, and Miami Hurricanes jackets en vogue during the 80′s and 90′s.

The Hurricanes have won 5 national championships in a short period of time. Fans are proud of this and wear Miami Hurricanes t-shirts and Miami Hurricanes sweatshirts telling us this. The Hurricanes now play in the ACC and former Miami player Randy Shannon is the head coach. He has promised a return to the glory days, but it hasn’t been easy. The team appears to be getting better each and every season, and things are looking up for Hurricanes fans all over.
