Kevin Harvick

Kevin HarvickKevin Harvick started racing following his kindergarten graduation in 1980. This was when he received his first go-kart. He won seven National Championships. In addition, he won two Grand National Championships. This led to 1995. After he finished high school he started racing full-time. The same year he was named the Rookie of the Year.

Harvick’s popularity took off which was obvious from the sales of the Kevin Harvick hats, the Kevin Harvick jackets, and the Kevin Harvick memorabilia. This was followed by his racing in the Winston West Series. He then raced in the Camping World Truck series where he met car owner Richard Childress. He accepted an offer from Childress which led him to Daytona International Speedway. This increased his popularity to a higher level and this saw the increase in sales of the Kevin Harvick merchandise, the Kevin Harvick gear, and the Kevin Harvick apparel. He soon earned a reputation for his aggressive driving style. However, he earned a nickname of “Happy,” due to the smile he constantly wore.

Last season Harvick was named the NASCAR Nationwide Series driver of the decade. This was due to his double series titles in 2001 and 2006. Harvick has had 34 wins taking him out in front where he leads all NASCAR Nationwide drivers. Harvick is ready to take on 2010.
