Jermey Mayfield

Jeremy Mayfield is a professional NASCAR driver.  At the moment, Mayfield is suspended from racing due to allegations that he has failed drug tests twice.  It is unclear when Mayfield’s suspension will be over.  Whenever he does return to racing, Mayfield and his team are likely to be un-sponsored.  Mayfield was previously sponsored by Big Red soda and SmallSponsor.com.

While Mayfield has not raced since his May 2009 suspension, he has had some past success.  His highest cup finish was when he finished 7th in the 1998 Winston Cup.  Mayfield has 5 career wins and 96 career top-ten finishes.  His last race victory came at the 2005 GFS Marketplace 400.

Mayfield’s career began quite well as he won two separate Rookie of the Year (ROY) awards.  In 1987 he won the Kentucky Motor Speedway ROY award and in 1993 he won the Auto Racing Club ROY award.
