Kansas City Royals

Even with the recent struggles of this Midwest franchise, players and fans of the Kansas City Royals still hope for an eventual return to the glory days of the 1980s, when the team was winning and Kansas City Royals merchandise and apparel were flying off the racks.

In 1985, the Royals won the World Series with greats such as George Brett, Frank White, Willie Wilson, Bret Saberhagen, and Hal McCrae. Fans all over the city and the surrounding small towns celebrated by purchasing Kansas City Royals hats and T-shirts. That October, strangers in Kansas City Royals jackets and sweatshirts high-fived one another in their favorite bars, taverns, and restaurants. The players signed Kansas City Royals jerseys after the downtown parade, and those players that weren’t local celebrities before, were now hometown heroes.

Even though George Brett and his costars retired many years ago, and success since that time has been infrequent at best, a young group of stars led by Cy Young winner Zack Greinke and slugger Billy Butler hopes to press the restart button for this once proud franchise.

One thing is certain, however; enthusiastic Royals fans will continue to support their team by purchasing Kansas City Royals merchandise.
