Kansas City Athletics

The Kansas City Athletics are a former professional baseball team which existed from 1955 to 1967.  Prior to 1967, the Athletics played in Philadelphia and in 1968 the Athletics moved to Oakland, where they continue to play today.  The Athletics franchise has won 9 World Series Titles in total; although they did not win any while they played in Kansas City.  6 former Kansas City Athletics players, including Satchel Paige and Luke Appling, are now in the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame.

Despite the fact that the Athletics haven’t played in Kansas City in over 40 years, many fans still enjoy wearing Kansas City Athletics merchandise.  The most popular merchandise are Kansas City Athletics hats and Kansas City Athletics sweatshirts, which are often purchased by people looking to wear retro-styled athletic gear.
