The Kansas City Athletics are a former professional baseball team which existed from 1955 to 1967. Prior to 1967, the Athletics played in Philadelphia and in 1968 the Athletics moved to Oakland, where they continue to play today. The Athletics franchise has won 9 World Series Titles in total; although they did not win any while they played in Kansas City. 6 former Kansas City Athletics players, including Satchel Paige and Luke Appling, are now in the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame.
