Detroit Tigers
The Detroit Tigers have a following like no other team in baseball, with nearly every person in Metro Detroit owning some type of Detroit Tigers apparel; even in the off season winter months, Detroit Tigers sweatshirts abound, from Gratiot Avenue to Woodward Avenue, 6 mile road to Hall road – the Tigers engender loyalty, even in their lowest of times.
Since 1901, fans in their Detroit Tigers hats have flocked to the stadium, waiting to watch the greats, from Ty Cobb to Al Kaline, Alan Trammel to Justin Verlander. In 1935, the Tigers won their first World Series title, then won another in 1945. Detroit Tigers Merchandise was everywhere, when, after more than 20 years, they reclaimed the title in 1968. In 1984, excited fans watched, wearing their Trammel and Gibson Detroit Tigers Jerseys, as the team won their most recent World Series. In 1999, the Tigers played their last game at Tiger Stadium, though Detroit Tigers t-shirts with the old Stadium on them are still sought after in the new Comerica park. Despite the team’s recent ups and downs, Detroiters maintain their support for the team, donning their Detroit Tigers jackets as they wait for spring training with renewed hope.
