California Angles

The California Angels have been in California since 1965 when they first played in Los Angeles. After a move to Anaheim, Orange County they soon became known as the Anaheim Angels and played their games at the “Big A” marked by an enormous “A” in the east parking lot overlooking the 5 Freeway. Over the recent years the Angles have changed their name a number of times, from the California Angles to the recent Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. However, with each change in team name or uniform, over the years it has made for very unique California Angles apparel and merchandise.

The team had some tragic success in the 1980’s with a near World Series appearance but unfortunate last pitch lost to the Oakland A’s in 1986. However, they have bounced back in a big way becoming one of the league’s most prominent teams. Today, the California Angles jersey represents consistency. The team has not changed their California Angles hats or uniforms for some time now. Since their recent World Series win in 2002 the California Angles merchandise has been at the top of California Angles apparel sales in the league. Even if they are officially called Los Angeles Angles of Anaheim, they will always be known as the California Angles to die hard fans.
